A lot of insurance companies are holding firm on the OT, other trade pricing and it’s actually a really bad deal for you, the contractor. A good way to combat that firm pricing is to ask for OMP and if they won’t approve that simply ask this question. If you, the general contractor, is allowed to make profit on managing an OT item, if not why would you manage your project? Then let them answer that question, they’ll usually approve the OMP or add in your bid item amount.
