Here’s a little information for new insurance restoration contractors coming into the business. I went from door knocking early on in my career, to running an insurance restoration company, to now being a part of Claim Juicer. I’ve been asked the question over and over again and if you’re watching this video, you probably have to. It’s when a customer asks “Who’s the best insurance company for claims?” Now I’m not gonna lie, there are insurance companies that I wouldn’t touch with a 10 foot pole, but for the most part all insurance companies are both terrible and great.
I say this because they change a lot, actually I remember specifically talking to Jon Potter years ago and talking about an insurance company that was buying everything. I’m telling you bird poop, hail, lichen, moss, nail pops, and if you’ve been in this industry for a while you old timers you know this to be true and as crazy as it is these same companies will turn 180 and deny everything the very next month. Obviously the latter is more frustrating but it’s something to be aware of and something to have a strategic plan for because the reality is big business insurance companies do what they want so if you’re new to this industry plan on this happening.
